Mouneb Taim is a freelance photojournalist and visual storyteller, born in 2001 in Damascus, Syria. He gained international recognition for his powerful coverage of social and humanitarian issues, including the Syrian war, refugee crises, and migration stories across Turkey and Europe.
Since beginning his career in 2014, Mouneb has documented life under siege in Syria and went on to tell deeply personal and untold stories of refugees and marginalized communities in Europe. Through a personal lens, he has captured the struggles, resilience, and humanity of people caught in crisis — offering a rare insider perspective.

His work has not only shed light on the Syrian conflict, but also on the broader experiences of immigrant communities and displaced people from different backgrounds. His images have become a visual reference for many leading international and Dutch media outlets.

Now based in Europe, Muneb has exhibited his work globally and has been awarded the Vincent van Gogh Photo Award, nominated for the Zilveren Camera, and named Beste Nieuwkomer in the Netherlands. He continues to produce compelling visual narratives that drive awareness and empathy.
