In the bonds of touch: The miracle of life

Salvador, Bahia, Brasil, 2023

Hands intertwined in the energy of water weave the first bonds of a new life.
Contemplating the golden hour in its fullness, this image exalts the nature of the female body and the importance of skin-to-skin contact as an act of respect for life and confirmed by science. It is the strengthening of the bond in the first moments.
In this planned home birth, the essence of birth is portrayed in a natural and familiar event, where joy, strength, and love are the protagonists of the story. It is a call for the future, where every woman can give birth safely, with dignity, and without impositions.

Guided by genuine connections, radiant smiles, warm embraces, and the vibrant energy of her Bahian spirit—where the calm sea meets the pulsating rhythm of axé—she cultivates a profound passion for art, creation, cinema, and the moving image. Before embracing photography, her creative journey began as a videographer, until photography entered her life like a sweet explosion of meaning and purpose.

She is the creator and founder of Rosa Branca Fotografia, a brand conceived as a mission: to contribute to the construction of birth narratives grounded in scientific evidence, understanding photographic documentation as an act of historical preservation. Her work seeks to exalt female protagonism and to collaborate in the creation of memories with sensitivity, authenticity, and respect.

For four years, she photographed and filmed births in Bahia, Brazil. Now based in Lisbon, she pursues her studies in Photography and Visual Culture at IADE. Strengthened by a deep spiritual connection that has refined her gaze—both as an artist and as a human being—she dedicates herself to the sublime universe of pregnancy and childbirth.

Believing in the power of images as tools for social transformation, her photography transcends aesthetic value: it documents the strength of women, the autonomy of their bodies, and their right to have their choices respected.
